Pole angler’s "Throne". Circa 1900

Pole angler’s "Throne", seat/tackle box. Circa 1900. 18.3/4" x 11.1/4" x 5.1/2", with cutaways at foot to create legs to keep the bottom of the box off the ground. Thick leather straps. Latch closure to lid. A pair of home made steel pole rests with forged twist points which look as though they would be very effective. A classic "Throne".
